Dr. Doug Maughan (Religious Professor at S&I) 

Dr. Ben Shapiro      (Hebrew University Jerusalem)

 

Brother Maughan and his wife Jennifer are parents of 10 children and 22 grandchildren  they currently reside in Santa Rosa California. He has Directed tours for BYU Travel and Destinationsinc. since 1997.

 

In 2011 Doug rebranded  the travel business as LDS WorldTravel & Humanitarian Expeditions LLC. Partnering with various NGO's he has sponsored numerous dental and surgical service expeditions to Central and South America, Asia and Africa. 

 

Brother Maughan has taught in the Church Educational System for over 37years and currently serves as the Coordinator for Seminaries and institutes of Religion for Northwest California (from San Francisco to Oregon).

 

Brother Maughan received his MA from Northern Arizona University and his Doctorate at ASU. He Runs Marathons and Triathlons and Directs Humanitarian Expeditions.

Dr. Shapiro is a linguist and speaks some 10 languages. He taught 30 yrs. at NYU and Hebrew Univ. in Jerusalem

He has accompanied Dr. Maughan for over 15 years on their adventures in the Middle East.
